She is currently a senior faculty member in Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management (CIEM), specialising in Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Entrepreneurship, and Business Ethics, She is also the faculty leader of NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network) and head of the Entrepreneurship committee at CIEM. Her academic experience has been of more than 9 years, full time at CIEM and as a part-time lecturer at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (formerly BESUS), ICFAI (Hyderabad) and many more. She is also a member of the Governing Body of the Enterprise Development Institute (EDI, Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industry) since the last two years and has been a Short-Term Fellow at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) at Ahmedabad. She holds two Master’s degrees, an MA in psychology specialising in Organisational Psychology and an MBA from Liverpool Business School, United Kingdom specialising in Human Resource Management, where her dissertation was on Motivation of employees in high-stress environments in IT/ITES companies in the UK. Before shifting to Kolkata, she had a long corporate career mostly in Human Resources Management and Development in various parts of India and abroad. Her last corporate position was that of a Regional Manager, HR in ICICI Prudential Ltd where she handled the recruitment and core HR activities in various states (as State Manager, Talent Acquisition and thereafter as the Regional HR), viz. ROM (Rest of Maharashtra – except Mumbai and Pune), Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh and the seven sister states of the North East and has a total experience of 17 years in various sectors encompassing several domains of Human Resources, Organisational Behaviour and Design, Competency Mapping, Corporate Trainings, Soft Skill and Personality Development, Entrepreneurship for students, Business/Corporate Ethics and Code of Conduct, etc., she is also a food enthusiast. She has a blog and a Facebook group called Foodie Universe where she writes and shares her food experiences. While in college, she was an active member of AIESEC and later was also an invitee speaker in the Industry sub-committee of the Government of West Bengal at the North American Bengali Association organised by the South Eastern Bengali Association held at Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She is also a regular participant in the activities of the Women Empowerment Cell at the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and a full-time lady member of Calcutta Club Ltd.
